Today was Langi's 2 month wellness check-up. She loved having all the attention on her when the nurses were measuring her head, weight and length. She now is a whopping 12 lbs 13 oz and 23 inches long! Everything was going just fine when the doctor came in to check her breathing and just make sure she's growing at the proper rate, which she is! The nurse then came in and gave her 5 of the shots she needed for this age. It was the most hardest thing I've ever seen her go through. The moment the needles went into her thighs, which is the place they have the administer shots for infants, she screamed and cried. I started to tear up and almost started to cry. In between some of the shots, she looked up at me and just started to cry. The look in her eyes broke my heart. I know her getting her immunizations are for her own good, but if there was a way that I could take her shots for her but she would still stay healthy, I would do it. I hated seeing her cry in pain. Soon after they were done giving her the shots, I was able to pick her up and just hold her tight. I never wanted to let her go. She stopped crying as soon as I was able to pick her up, and that made both of us happy.
In 2 months time, she'll be 4 months and she'll have to go back for more shots. I don't think any of us are looking for to that apointment!
