She's all smiles!

The past two weeks have been so fun with Langi. She's now smiling and laughing a lot more! She's also focusing more on peoples faces when they hold her rather than stare at the ceiling. Langi is such a good baby. I can never say it enough. But, she really is! Peter and I were going to wait for a couple months to start putting her on a sleeping schedule. But last week, I noticed that she put herself on a sleeping schedule. Which makes it much more easier for Peter and me. And every time she wakes up, she's all smiles and laughter. I always get the camera on a little too late to catch the funny laughs but I can always capture her smiles since she smiles a lot! Here are some of her recent pictures.

Family Time!

We've had the greatest couple of weeks the past few weeks watching Langi grow and grow. Langi is learning how to laugh and smile and we've loved every moment of seeing our beautiful daughter grow.

She does this weird thing with her mouth after she eats...it's so funny!

Two Months and Growing!!

Today was Langi's 2 month wellness check-up. She loved having all the attention on her when the nurses were measuring her head, weight and length. She now is a whopping 12 lbs 13 oz and 23 inches long! Everything was going just fine when the doctor came in to check her breathing and just make sure she's growing at the proper rate, which she is! The nurse then came in and gave her 5 of the shots she needed for this age. It was the most hardest thing I've ever seen her go through. The moment the needles went into her thighs, which is the place they have the administer shots for infants, she screamed and cried. I started to tear up and almost started to cry. In between some of the shots, she looked up at me and just started to cry. The look in her eyes broke my heart. I know her getting her immunizations are for her own good, but if there was a way that I could take her shots for her but she would still stay healthy, I would do it. I hated seeing her cry in pain. Soon after they were done giving her the shots, I was able to pick her up and just hold her tight. I never wanted to let her go. She stopped crying as soon as I was able to pick her up, and that made both of us happy.
In 2 months time, she'll be 4 months and she'll have to go back for more shots. I don't think any of us are looking for to that apointment!

A Relaxing Day

Today Peter surprised me by spoiling me with the most delicious meals and more. I woke up to a huge and yummy omelet, fruit salad and orange juice. And...wow!!! I absolutely loved it. He took Langi downstairs and let me eat my breakfast in bed and let me rest some more. Which was really sweet of him because lately, I have been exhausted. Then, we spent some time together with baby and just relaxed and watched a movie. Yes, I know that right after breakfast seems too early to sit and watch a movie, but, we both definitely needed the time to relax and spend time as a family with no distractions. After our movie, Peter got back into the kitchen and made a very scrumptious fried salmon taco with chips and dip. I have always hated tartar sauce but peter put the sauce on the tacos and, oh wow, I now am team tartar sauce all the way!
For dinner Peter made chicken cordon bleu with potatoes and asparagus. It was probably the most delicious chicken cordon bleu I've tasted. Especially with it being his first time he's made it before. Before he made it, he told me he was hoping it would turn out good and it totally did! Peter was also nice enough to give me a MUCH needed back massage. He didn't let me lift a finger all day. I tried to help with the food, but he kept me from going into the kitchen. I tried to do some laundry but he told me to stop and just relax. It was one of the most relaxing days I've had. I think I have officially decided that my husband spoils me like crazy. And I love it. :) But I also am just so thankful that I was blessed with a husband who takes such great care of me and Langi. I love Peter and Langi with all my heart.

I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast. But, trust me, it was DELICIOUS!

Birthday Fun

TodaycI turned 20. Yay!! It was such an amazing day. Since it was a Sunday today and we wanted to keep the spirit with us, Peter took me out last night and we celebrated together. It was a great date. :) We went to Good Wood and had a very delicious and filling dinner. Then, we came home and stayed in for the rest of the night and watched Aladdin. There's been a lot of good movies that have come out but it was so much more nicer to just stay in and watch a good Disney movie. Plus, it was fun because Langi was watching with us for the first few scenes and she seemed like she enjoyed it! :) Then, today we had more fun at my parents house. We had a good, good dinner and Soli made me a beautiful and yummy German chocolate cake. Everyone was over for the dinner except Glo, Kaeo, Benson, Hannah and baby Kymani. :( But, we'll make time to hang out with them sometime soon. Today, we also got to see Tumu, Ada, Mathias and their cute baby boy, Kingston! I have had 19 other great birthdays, but this year has been one of the best birthdays by far.

I finally caught a smile! Seeing my daughter's beautiful smiles is all the presents I want for my birthday. I don't need anything else :)

Avery was talking a whole bunch and then right as I pushed the record button on my camera she kind of stopped :( but I still got a lot of cute moments

According to the candles, I turned 6 today. ;) Poor Soli felt so bad, he thought that there were enough candles...but ended up only having 6. He felt so bad but, it's the thought that counts...don't I just have the best little brother?!

Singing "Happy Birthday" to me...and then Tumu said Mathias likes to blow out candles too so we sang to him too :)

Langi was inside but my husband and my daughter are my life and more than anything, spending my birthday with them was the best thing ever!

Bath Time!

Besides eating time, bath time is one of Langi's favorite times of the day. The first time I bathed her she was fussy and hated it, probably because, as a newborn, she didn't like being cold and naked. :( I hated hearing her cry because it made me want to cry. But now, she absolutely loves it. She's so calm and I've even gotten a few giggles out of her when I scrub her hair. I love this little girl soooo much! Can you tell I'm a little bit obsessed with her? :)

These last 3 are from a different day about 2 weeks ago, can you see the difference in how much she's grown from these pictures to the ones above? :)

Langi's Special Day

This past Sunday the 3rd, was Langi's blessing. We blessed her in our new ward, the Orem 9th Samoan ward. My dad, Solitu Purcell, blessed her. It was such a special sacrament meeting for our families. Langi looked so beautiful in her blessing dress. We spent the night with our families at my parents house. We had a yummy dinner and sang and just spent time together. It was such a wonderful Sunday.

They were so done posing for pictures...a couple seconds after this, they all got fussy and tried to get off the couch

Our little Angel

Our little Langi is growing like crazy! It's amazing how almost two months ago, she was just coming into the world. And now she's starting to smile and laugh and is getting very playful. It's been so exciting just the past couple of months seeing how much she's growing and changing. And I'm so excited to keep watching her grow.

Langi had jaundice :( she had to be put under UV lights, thankfully it helped her get better!

Our happy little Family! :) :)

She was so alert in the hospital, it was cute!

She loves sleeping on her tummy

Sometimes she smiles and laughs in her sleep, and i caught a half smile

She also loves her bathtime! :)

She's still got grayish-blueish eyes, it's adorable

She didn't want to go on a run, luckily for her, the stroller tires were flat so we didn't go that day

Little Langi in her blessing dress, she looked so cute!
